Due to COVID19 impacts, the DECIDER project was delayed in carrying out several field work campaigns and stakeholder meetings. Consequently, some planned deliverables could be achieved only at a later time. At the end of 2021, LMU in cooperation with all partners submitted the application for a cost-neutral extension of DECIDER. A letter from the DLR Projekttrager arrived LMU on March 24 which confirmed the extension of the project time for one year until April 30, 2023.

With the extension, the project will try to organize a field campaign to HCMC, meetings with local partners, as well as dialogues with specific stakeholders. Meanwhile, the research partners will focus on finalizing and validating current research findings, and to develop knowledge-based flood adaptation pathways by combining the research findings from each work packages.
