SIWRR is a non-productive agency for scientific and technological research and post-graduation training for southern provinces under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. SIWRR’s work focuses on formulating and organizing the implementation of long-term, short-term and yearly scientific programs and plans aimed at meeting the demands for developing and managing water resourses. SIWRR does researches on various issues of irrigation works, water environment protection, riverbank and estuary systems, coastal and island systems, natural disaster mitigation and control, information technology in water resources management and development.
